IDE Sumobot Competition

• I built my robot with lego and lego EV3 components, I used EV3 classroom (scratch) to code it.

• My robot was focused on torque and weight. It was slow but compensated with strength and stability.

• My teamate and I built this robot together.

• There were some problems when we were making the robot. Parts occasionally fell off, some pieces did not work, and sometimes we had to completely redo an area.

On the actual day

• I was a bit nervous, but a bit excited. It was my first time at a robotics competition, it was interesting to see different children from different schools and places with all sorts of robots.

• I felt confident, but when I went to my first round, I lost. I was less hopeful and disappointed but when I tried again the next round, I won. I felt there was still hope and that I still had a chance of winning.

• Unfortunately, my teamate and I did not make it to the top 16, but it was still a fun experience as it was my first time.
